The purpose of this post is to cover some of the frequently asked questions I receive about headshot and portrait photography sessions. I'll keep it short and simple and include some of my photos in between to illustrate the post.
Where are you based?
I am based in Sydney and most of my headshot and portrait sessions are shot in the studio located in Surry Hills. The studio is roughly a ten minute walk from Central station.
Do you ever shoot on location?
I do! I love studio photography and having complete control over the light but I also love setting up office on location.
What do I wear for my headshot session?
Well I would meet this question with "what is the headshot for?" so still ask this one but generally for a headshot session we want the focus on you! Solid colours are great because they don't take away the attention from the star of the show (which is you) I generally advice clients to avoid patterns and dots etc.
Do you offer hair and make-up services?
The service is not included in my packages however it can definitely be an add on if you wish for hair and make up. I know some amazing artists and they all use cruelty free hair and make up products.
How long does the shoot go for?
Generally we will spend two hours together. I like to take it nice and easy and have a chat / break the ice before I raise my camera to my eye. I understand having your photo isn't always the most comfortable experience, I pride myself on making the experience fun and comfortable.
When will I receive my images?
My turn around is at maximum two weeks for a headshot or portrait session. If you are in a major rush for a job application or just need your photos quickly let me know and we can work something out.
How do I make a booking?
Simply contact me via my contact form here on my website or directly via Email firstname.lastname@example.org We will discuss your needs and book a date for shooting. A $50.00 deposit is required to secure the booking and that deposit will be deducted from the total cost.
Hope this short guide helped you.
If you have any questions at all don't hesitate to ask.
Wishing you all a successful day!
